A key factor in achieving fulfilment in life and business is to be purposeful. Rather than drift through life letting the things that happen to us, and for these external influences to be the predominant factor in determining our direction, we can take the helm and a steer on our future. Vision setting is being purposeful. Clarity in vision allows us to aspire to greater things and motivates us to reach for what we previously thought was outside our grasp. When things don’t go quite right or we hit an impasse we can become discouraged. I am reminded of the words of John C Maxwell

“Failed plans should not be interpreted as a failed vision. Visions don’t change, they are only refined. Plans rarely stay the same, and are scrapped or adjusted as needed. Be stubborn about the vision, but flexible with your plan.” (John C Maxwell)
